Athletic Director and Boys Physical Education Coach
This candidate is responsible for all boys sports teams involved in the Calcasieu Catholic Athletic League, scheduling all sporting events associated with ICCS, and teaching daily physical education classes. Teaching certificate preferred.
Middle School Science Teacher
The Middle School Science Teacher is responsible for educating students and fostering curiosity in scientific concepts. This includes developing and implementing lesson plans in subject areas such as biology, chemistry, physics, and earth sciences. The teacher will also collaborate with colleagues, assess student progress, communicate with parents, and participate in school events. The ideal candidate would possess a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, or a related field. Teaching certificate preferred.
Middle School Theology Teacher
The Middle School Theology Teacher is responsible for teaching Catholic doctrine, scripture, morality, and Church traditions through the development and implementation of lesson plans using our various curriculum platforms including, but not limited to: Friendzy, Theology of the Body, Education in Virtue, Gold Book, and Faith and Life. This candidate would be an active member and have strong knowledge of the Catholic faith. The teacher will also collaborate with colleagues, assess student progress, communicate with parents, and participate in school events. The ideal candidate would possess a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Theology, Religious Studies, or a related field. Teaching certificate preferred.
Art Teacher
As a Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade art teacher, you'll let your students discover new ways to express themselves through visual mediums. This candidate is responsible for developing and implementing engaging art lessons tailored to each grade level Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade. This position requires knowledge of the fundamentals of art concepts, techniques, and art history. The teacher will also collaborate with colleagues, assess student progress, communicate with parents, and participate in school events. Prospective art teachers should have a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field. Art teaching certificate preferred for K-12 grade levels.
Substitute Teacher
Substitutes are responsible for maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment in the absence of the regular teacher. Duties include delivering pre-planned lessons, managing student behavior, assisting with classroom activities, and ensuring students remain on task. The substitute teacher fosters a safe, supportive, and engaging atmosphere while helping students meet educational goals.
