Marc and Liz Descant, along with some friends, gave a presentation on Saints' Relics to the 4th and 5th grade students. They brought about 25 First Class Relics and 12 Second class Relics for the students to view.
What is a relic? According to the Catholic Education Resource Center, a relic is a piece of the body of the saint (1st Class Relic), an item owned or used by the saint (2nd Class Relic), or an object that has been touched to a first class relic (3rd Class Relic). Relics of the saints is just another treasure Jesus Christ has given to the Church. Relics allow us to appreciate more profoundly the men and women who have served and loved selflessly. #iccspanthers
